We took another series…

…nyah nyah nyah nyah nyah-nyah!

Yes, those would be five-year-old playground noises.

I’m so proud of my boys–especially Wandy.  Do you know how much I love Wandy?  I ADORE WANDY.

I’m in the midst of planning a trip to Denver.
Hopefully for next weekend.  To go see the Rockies and visit Colorado School of Mines, but I’m most excited about the Rockies.
The only problem is that it’s Matty Bobblehead Day, so I might have to buy my tickets like, online or something.  tulo is a sexy beast.jpg
That would suck.  My $4 ticket could easily turn into, like, a $12 one.  But that’s totally okay because OHMIGOD THE ROCKIES.

Can you even fathom how exciting that would be?  I might even go to TWO Rockies games!  Of course, it would be better if I could leave Thursday and come back Sunday but we’re having a 4th of July party so that wouldn’t work.  I hate day games (Sunday), but it’s better to go to a day game than no game at all.  And Denver has a zoo.

Amy–is there a light rail stop at the Zoo?  I figured you might be able to help me out in this aspect.

How exciting! A trip to Denver and Golden! Two of my favorite places in CO. I haven’t been to the zoo in about half a dozen years, but I don’t think there is a light rail stop at the zoo, but RTD (our bus/light rail) is really easy to navigate and you shouldn’t have a problem getting around. I suggest you stop at Union Station and get some maps and info. Union Station is also where you get off if you’re taking bus/light rail to the game. If you can get to the box office 2 1/2 hours before the game then you can get your $4 ticket, but they will probably sell out in 30 minutes and if you go on bobblehead night, get in the stadium ASAP, those bobbleheads go quick. Plus you can come and go from Coors really easily so you don’t have to stay if you don’t want to. Final tip- when you go to visit SoM, have lunch at D’Deli on their main street, best sandwiches in Golden. Have fun and maybe I’ll run into you on the 5th!

Thanks, glad you got them 🙂
I’m psyched. And that’s okay about the zoo. If we rent a car, hopefully it shouldn’t be a problem. I’ve researched RTD and looked at maps and it looks pretty intuitive. I haven’t ridden a city bus in years because ours are so nasty, but there’s a lot of info on the website and it was really helpful.
I once waited three hours for a Roy Oswalt bobblehead. I hate bobblehead nights. Grarg.
Hopefully I’ll make it that weekend. It’s the only weekend this summer that I’ll be available to go anywhere (actually I could go the next weekend but why, if the Rox aren’t even at home?).
Lunch… mm, I love delis. Thanks for the tip!!
