I don’t know if you know this…

…but MLB Network is actually up.

They’re not running full-time by any means, but they’re on right now.  And they’re showing a recap of the 2005 World Series.  Talk about rubbing salt in a wound.

I’m not going to lie–2005 was a point in time where I didn’t really care about baesball.  I watched the World Series, but I didn’t really understand it.  My school had an Astros Day where everyone got to wear Astros stuff instead of our uniforms.  The coolest part was that my brother came down to go to a game and I hadn’t seen him in a while.

But here I am, watching the White Sox celebrate.  I can’t believe Geoff Blum plays for us now, and that we have accepted him back so readily.  I approve.

I really hope there’s going to be an HD feed, even though I think the current shot of Geoff Blum’s terrifying hair would bring on seven times more nightmares in high-def.

For what it’s worth, if anyone’s interested, right now it’s on channel 108 on my Comcast digital cable.  I’m going to have to switch back to NASA TV–what I was watching before, I know, I’m a huge dork and all that, but I do live in Space City–because I can’t take much more of this nonsense.

Is MLB Network going to be a prime channel?  Am I going to have to pay extra?  Because if so, we’re going to have a big problem.

Back to NASA’s Video File about the Chandra Observatory.  Fascinating–and I’m not being sarcastic.

PS–Brad Ausmus with a beard?  Please, never again.
