Guess what…

…it has begun.

Spring is here.  I mean, I live in Texas, so the weather doesn’t change much to reflect the sunshine in my heart.

But spring is most certainly here.

No spring training for me this year–I’m going to Georgia for spring break.

But the College Classic is in town next week, and I get to watch my boys (Texas A&M, WHOOP!) play some serious baseball at Minute Maid Park.

Short entry but I just had to let out a virtual scream.

T-minus 13 days until the beginning… and the big changes.

Goodness gracious…

…I can’t wait until Spring Training starts so I can try to keep this blog going.

I’ve decided that the giant change I promised last entry will actually happen on February 25th, which is the first day of Spring Training games.  I’m too excited to wait until April.

I AM A FAIL AT UPDATING.  So I guess this is just an entry to let you guys know that I’m still alive, please don’t take me off your RSS readers!

They say it’s inevitable…

…but I hate change.

For example, this morning I found out that Robert B. Macentire and TJ Callahan, two morning DJs on KILT that I grew up listening to, were laid off.

It extends to baseball too.

ManRam not playing for the Red Sox.  Ken Griffey Jr. not playing for the Reds.  Matt Holliday not playing for the Rockies (*sniff*).

How was Thanksgiving?

I ate a ton of stuffing and laid about in an Emmitt Smith jersey as I watched the Cowboys trample the Seahawks.  I almost cried as I watched the Aggies get trampled by those damn Longhorns.  GOD I hate t.u.  I’m gonna miss Ol’ Army next year.

It was freaking 80 degrees out on Thursday and Friday.  It’s November!  But now it’s severely cloudy and 68, so that’s nice.

I’m all over the place this morning.

The city opened an outdoor ice rink at Discovery Green downtown.  I can’t imagine how much that will cost to keep frozen.  They’re limiting skate time to 1-1/2 hours on weekends, which I don’t quite understand and it makes me wish I’d gone yesterday.  I suppose there’s always the mall.
